At Venture we embrace the concept of “Evidence Based Practice”, where the best available scientific evidence is combined with clinical experience and the needs of the patient.

What is the definition of Chiropractic?

Chiropractic has been defined by the World Federation of Chiropractic as follows:

A health profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, and the effects of these disorders on the function of the nervous system and general health. There is an emphasis on manual treatments including spinal adjustment and other joint and soft-tissue manipulation.

Our Approach

Our approach at Venture is a contemporary one that adopts the ‘Biopsychosocial Model‘ of healthcare, meaning that we assess and manage the person as a whole rather than just a presenting symptom. As a result co-management with or even referral to other providers may be necessary. As far as possible we adopt ‘Evidence based medicine‘ to our treatments, but are aware of the limitations of applying this to manual therapies.
